Why More Patients Are Combining MOXI, BBL HEROic, and Medical-Grade Skin Treatments Instead of Jumping Straight to Surgery
There has been a major shift in aesthetics over the last few years. More patients are moving away from the idea that they need aggressive surgery or extreme procedures to look younger. Instead, they want healthier skin, natural results, less downtime, and treatments that actually make them look refreshed instead of “done.”
That is exactly why treatments like MOXI, BBL HEROic, Virtue RF, and medical-grade skincare have become some of the fastest-growing services in our practice at Chronos Body Health & Wellness.
What surprises many people is that aging skin is usually not caused by one single issue. It is rarely just wrinkles. Most patients are dealing with a combination of sun damage, pigmentation, redness, collagen loss, texture changes, enlarged pores, skin laxity, and volume changes all happening at the same time.
The mistake I often see is patients chasing one problem while ignoring the overall quality of the skin itself.
Beautiful skin is not about looking frozen or overfilled. Healthy skin reflects light differently. It has better texture, better tone, better elasticity, and a more youthful glow. That is where modern laser and regenerative treatments really shine.
At Chronos, one of the most popular combinations we use is
MOXI with BBL HEROic. These two treatments work extremely well together because they
target different layers
and
different aspects of aging.

Patient results after STACKED BBL HEROic & MOXI Laser Treatment
MOXI is excellent for improving texture, early sun damage, fine lines, and overall skin quality. It stimulates collagen and gives the skin a smoother, healthier appearance without the prolonged downtime associated with more aggressive resurfacing lasers. Patients often describe their skin afterward as looking brighter, tighter, cleaner, and more polished.
BBL HEROic works differently. It targets pigmentation, redness, vascular irregularities, and uneven tone while also helping stimulate healthier skin function over time. One of the reasons I like BBL HEROic is because it treats years of accumulated sun damage that many people do not even realize they have. In Louisiana especially, we see significant chronic sun exposure that slowly ages the skin over decades.
When these treatments are combined correctly, patients can often achieve dramatic improvement without surgery and without looking unnatural.
Another major advancement has been radiofrequency microneedling, especially Virtue RF. This treatment helps tighten skin, improve crepey texture, soften acne scarring, refine pores, and stimulate collagen remodeling. I often tell patients that collagen loss quietly accelerates with age, and once collagen declines, skin begins to lose that youthful firmness and elasticity people notice in photographs and mirrors.
What many patients do not realize is that preventative treatments started earlier usually produce the best long-term outcomes. I am seeing more patients in their late twenties and thirties starting “prejuvenation” treatments now instead of waiting until major aging changes occur. In many cases, maintaining healthy collagen and skin quality early creates much better aging over the next decade.
Medical-grade skincare also plays a far bigger role than most people think.
You cannot spend money on advanced lasers and then ignore your skin the other 360 days of the year. Consistency matters. High-quality retinoids, antioxidants, growth factors, pigment control products, and proper sunscreen use dramatically improve and maintain results. Some patients achieve more improvement from combining good skincare with periodic laser maintenance than others do from aggressive one-time procedures.
One thing I strongly believe is that treatments should be customized to the individual patient. Not everyone needs aggressive resurfacing. Not everyone needs filler. Not everyone needs surgery. The best outcomes happen when you step back, evaluate the face and skin as a whole, and create a long-term strategy instead of chasing trends.
That is one reason consultations matter so much in our office. We spend a lot of time evaluating skin quality, lifestyle, sun exposure, goals, recovery tolerance, and long-term maintenance before recommending treatments.
The goal should never be to make someone look different.
The goal is to make them look healthier, more rested, more confident, and more youthful while still looking like themselves.
That is where modern aesthetics is headed, and honestly, I think that is a very good thing.
Patients today are smarter, more educated, and more focused on natural results than ever before. The era of overdone aesthetics is fading. Healthy skin, collagen preservation, body wellness, and subtle enhancement are becoming the future of aesthetic medicine.
At Chronos, we are constantly investing in newer technologies and combination approaches because the best results rarely come from one single treatment alone. They come from layering the right treatments together, at the right time, for the right patient.
If you are considering skin rejuvenation treatments and are not sure where to start, a personalized consultation is usually the best first step. Sometimes the most effective plan is much simpler, less invasive, and more natural-looking than patients expect.
