A physician-directed hormone clinic minutes from New Orleans

New Orleans has franchised men's clinics, pellet-only practices and online testosterone subscriptions. Chronos is different in one way that matters: a physician who has practiced hormone medicine for more than ten years writes and reviews your plan, and you can see him and his team in person, 10–15 minutes from Uptown, Lakeview, the Quarter, the Westbank or Kenner.

We treat hormone therapy as medicine, not a product. That means labs before anything is prescribed, an honest conversation about whether you are a candidate, and follow-up that adjusts to your numbers and how you feel.

Hormone therapy for Women

Perimenopause and menopause bring hot flashes, sleep disruption, mood changes, weight gain and loss of libido — and many women are told to wait it out. We offer bioidentical estrogen, progesterone and testosterone, as creams, injections or pellets, matched to your labs and symptoms. Dr. Scott has treated women with testosterone therapy for more than ten years; there is no FDA-approved testosterone product for women in the United States, so this use is off-label and we discuss it plainly.

Testosterone therapy for men

Low testosterone shows up as fatigue, low drive, poor sleep, stubborn weight gain and slower recovery, and it is common in men in their forties and fifties. It is also over-diagnosed: stress, sleep loss and weight can mimic it, and younger men are often better served by fixing those first. We say so when it is true.

When therapy is appropriate, Dr. Scott generally prefers weekly testosterone injections over pellets or creams because dosing can be adjusted precisely and levels stay steady. Once started, testosterone therapy is usually lifelong, and we make sure you understand that before you begin.

How It Works

Start with a Conversation and Labs
Step 1

Start with a Conversation and Labs

We’ll talk through your symptoms, health history, and goals, then draw a comprehensive hormone panel in our Metairie clinic. Once your results are ready, we’ll review them with you by phone or in person and discuss your options.

  • Consultation focused on your symptoms
  • Labs drawn in our clinic
  • Results explained by your care team

No separate trip to an outside lab.

Step 2

Get a Plan Built for You

Dr. Scott will create your treatment plan based on your symptoms and lab results. We’ll provide your medication, dosing instructions, and supplies through the clinic. If your plan includes self-injections, we’ll show you how to administer them.

  • Plan created by Dr. Scott
  • Medication and supplies from Chronos
  • Self-injection instruction when needed

You’ll leave knowing how to follow your plan.

Keep Your Care on Track
Step 3

Keep Your Care on Track

Dr. Scott will set a schedule for repeat labs and follow-ups to see how you’re responding and adjust your dose when needed. You can reach our team with questions between visits.

  • Repeat labs to monitor progress
  • Dose adjustments when appropriate
  • Support between appointments

Your plan can change as your needs do.

Frequently Asked Questions (New Orleans)

  • Where is the clinic?

3200 N. Arnoult Rd., Metairie, off Veterans Blvd. near Lakeside, about 10–15 minutes from most of New Orleans. Hormone visits are in person; get your labs taken at oyur first visit.

  • Do you take insurance?

No. Hormone care at Chronos is self-pay, which is why we can spend the time and use the medications we think are right. HSA and FSA cards are accepted.

  • How is Chronos different from a men's health franchise?

Your plan is written and reviewed by Dr. Scott, a physician who has practiced hormone medicine for more than ten years, and you can see him. We also treat women, and we offer weight loss, fitness and aesthetics in the same building.

  • Injections, pellets or cream?

Dr. Scott generally recommends weekly injections for men because the dose can be adjusted precisely. Pellets and creams are available when they fit better, especially for women.

  • How soon will I feel a difference?

Many men notice energy and sleep changes within a few weeks; body composition and strength take longer. Women's symptom relief varies by hormone and method. Individual results vary.

  • Is testosterone therapy lifelong?

Usually, yes. Stopping returns you to your baseline. We make sure you understand this before starting.

  • I'm in my thirties and tired. Am I a candidate?

Possibly, but we often find sleep, stress or weight is the cause and address that first. Labs decide.
