Telehealth Weight Loss Across Louisiana: How We’re Reaching Patients Everywhere
Over the past few years, we’ve built our telehealth weight loss program with one goal in mind: make safe, effective care accessible to patients across all of Louisiana, not just those who can walk through our doors.
Today, we regularly treat patients in New Orleans, Metairie, Slidell, Covington, Mandeville, Baton Rouge, Lafayette, Lake Charles, and Shreveport, along with many smaller towns and rural communities throughout the state. Whether someone lives in a major city or a more remote area, they deserve the same level of care, follow-up, and results.
Reaching Patients Where They Are
Telehealth has allowed us to extend what we do every day in the clinic to patients who otherwise would not have access.
- Busy professionals who cannot take time off work
- Patients in rural areas with limited local options
- Individuals who prefer privacy and convenience
- Patients who need ongoing follow-up without constant travel
We’ve designed our system so patients can be evaluated, treated, and followed closely, all while staying in their own home.
Our Approach to GLP-1 Weight Loss
We focus heavily on GLP-1–based treatments, which help regulate appetite, improve blood sugar control, and support steady, sustainable weight loss.
The medications we commonly work with include:
- Semaglutide (active ingredient found in Ozempic and Wegovy)
- Tirzepatide (active ingredient in Mounjaro and Zepbound)
These medications work by slowing gastric emptying, reducing appetite, and helping patients feel full sooner and longer. In simple terms, they help patients naturally eat less without feeling deprived.
Brand vs. Compounded Options
Every patient is different, and access can vary. That’s why we offer both:
- Brand-name medications when available and appropriate
- Compounded formulations when needed for dosing flexibility, tolerance, or access
What matters most is that the treatment fits the patient, not the other way around.
We are careful in how we approach compounded medications. When used, they are selected based on medical necessity, patient-specific dosing needs, and availability, not convenience or shortcuts.
Following FDA Guidance and Best Practices
We stay aligned with current FDA guidance and regulatory standards.
That means:
- No shortcuts in evaluation or prescribing
- Regular follow-up visits, not one-time prescriptions
- Adjusting treatment based on patient response and safety
- Clear communication about risks, benefits, and options
There has been a lot of confusion in the market around telehealth weight loss. Many programs rely on questionnaires or minimal oversight. That is not how we operate -- nor is that safe for your wellbeing.
We treat obesity as a medical condition that requires real care, real follow-up, and real accountability.
Care That Extends Beyond the Prescription
Medication is just one part of the process.
Our program also focuses on:
- Nutrition guidance
- Long-term weight maintenance strategies
- Monitoring progress and side effects
- Adjusting dosing carefully over time
This is why our patients tend to do better. We stay involved.
Expanding Access Across Louisiana
One of the most important parts of what we do is reaching patients who have historically been overlooked.
Not everyone lives near New Orleans or Baton Rouge. Many patients are in smaller towns where options are limited. Telehealth allows us to close that gap and deliver the same level of care statewide.
That has been a major focus for us, and it will continue to be.
If you’re anywhere in Louisiana and looking for a medically supervised, structured weight loss program that actually follows you over time, that’s exactly what we’ve built.
